Computerized Meal Tracker System

E-Trition is a computerized system of paying for school lunches designed to make things more convenient for students and their families and to keep a child’s meal status confidential.

• A meal account is opened for every child at Keonepoko Elementary School. This account is identified with an ID number and bar code. There is a $5.00 fee for lunch cards that need to be replaced.
• Cash or money order deposits will be accepted and placed into the account for your child until April 1.
• Thereafter, only cash will be accepted through the end of the year.
• You or your child may make deposits to his/her account at our office Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. 
• All deposits will be credited before the end of the school day.
• Each time your child purchases a second meal, entrée, or milk, the cost is subtracted from their account. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure sufficient funds are maintained in their child(ren)’s account at all times.

First Meal

First meal is provided at no charge to all students through the Community Eligibility Provision. (See insert dated May 3, 2016)

Second Meals

Second meals will only be allowed upon parent’s written consent and providing students have sufficient funds in their account. A consent form is included in this packet or can be picked up in the office. Absolutely no charges are allowed for second meals. Students who wish to purchase an entrée may do so if they have eaten their first meal, have parent’s written consent, and have sufficient funds in their account. If purchasing milk only, the cost is $0.75. Costs are listed below.

Reminders

A reminder for low balance for any second meals, entrees, or milk will be sent home with your child every Monday.

Meal Times

Breakfast is served between 7:00am – 7:45am, Monday through Friday.
Lunch is served 10:50am – 12:20pm, Monday through Friday.
Students report to the cafeteria by grade levels according to the bell schedule.

Cost subject to change due to increase by Hawaii State Board of Education.  Per State directive, no salads or vegetarian meals will be served.  Please note that all balances will be carried over into the next school year.  Pleas plan your deposits so that there will be a minimal amount left at the end of the school year.  No food substitutions are allowed.
